Congatulations Maggie Dixon Real Estate!
One of our members, Maggie Dixon Real Estate, has been nominated as a finalist in the 2011 Chamber of Commerce Business Awards. The winners will be announced at a Gala evening on 28 October 2011. Good luck to Craig and your team!! Paint it Red! Last Wednesday 14th September 2011, the BNI Riverside Chapter decided to 'Paint It Red' in honour of the countries being hosted by Northland for the Rugby World Cup - Tonga, Japan and Canada - whose flags all feature the colour red. Chapter members dressed in red for their morning meeting, and were asked to skilfully weave the theme of 'rugby' into their 60 second 'infomercials'.  And to top off an already great meeting, the chapter donated a further $1000 to North Haven Hospice as well.  Donation to Hospice
Recently our chapter was able to make a second donation to North Haven Hospice. Kerry McLeod (Funding Development Manager) from North Haven Hospice joined us at our meeting and gave our members a talk on the important work Hospice does in our community and how vital these sorts of donations are to allow this work to continue to be done.
Our members donate a small amount each week that is put towards Hospice initiatives and donations; we also fundraise each week for some members who can choose to make a gold coin donation.
The Riverside Chapter is very proud to support North Haven Hospice and have in our almost 2 year history donated money and time (volunteer hours) to show our support and appreciation.

Our last meeting of the year was a big success! Lots of fun and a great positive atmosphere - we even had presents!!!

We recently had a little end of year celebration at Split Bar & Restaurant. It was a fun evening and a great way to cap off the year together as friends and business partners.

 The Riverside Chapter recently funded a business trip for Mary Death from North Haven Hospice, so that she could attend an International Convention to present a paper on Hospice Care. Mary also used this time to network with and learn from Hospice Organisations in other countries. |
